The Scottish Borders and North Northumberland have so much to offer the visitor, from long sandy beaches and rocky outcrops to rolling hills and secluded valleys. Set in this varied landscape lie a wide choice of country houses, castles, abbeys and gardens for the visitor to explore. Driving yourself is all very well but how much do you miss by having to keep your eyes on the road? Do you know which routes to take to get the best views? How much does your "navigator" see if they are looking at the map? One alternative is an "organised" tour but, as they cater for large groups they cannot meet everyone's expectations. I am sure you will have been on a tour and wanted to stay at a particular place for a little longer or maybe even for a little less time than the tour allowed. With my personalised tours this is not a problem as you decide if you want more or less time at a particular venue. You also decide where, when and for how long we stop for coffee, lunch or tea. |

What better way to experience the attractions of this area than on your own personal tour. I specialize in full and half day tours for up to 4 people in a fully licensed and insured air-conditioned Landrover Freelander. Being born and raised in Northumberland and with a keen interest in the area's history and wildlife I can customize your day out to meet your own interests and requirements or provide itineraries for you to choose from. |
